Route: Walking through the heart of CABA. Path: Starting at the intersection of Av. Monroe and Migueletes St. and finishing at Plaza Italia.
I usually stick to the park trails, but today I opted for a change—a more direct, "urban" path. I headed up Av. La Pampa, marched straight down Av. Del Libertador to Plaza Intendente Seeber, and finally wrapped up via Av. Sarmiento.
Highlights Along the Way
• City Itinerant Fairs: A glimpse into the local mobile markets that give the city its flavor.
• The Neighborhood Transition: Crossing Zabala St., the official threshold where Belgrano ends and Palermo begins.
• Mitre Railway Viaduct: Passing under the impressive architecture of the elevated train tracks.
• Palermo Racecourse: Walking the long perimeter of the iconic Hipódromo Argentino.
• Urban Maintenance: Observing the work crews active along Av. Del Libertador.
• Monumento a Nicolás Avellaneda: A scenic point in the middle of Plaza Holanda.
• Post-Event Cleanup: Watching crews dismantle the infrastructure from the automotive roadshow held a few days ago.
• Monumento a Garibaldi: Reaching the "finish line" at the bustling Plaza Italia.
Challenge Updates
• April Challenge: Completed! 200,000 steps goal reached. The Deep Dive: The "Time in Zones" shows an absolute predominance of the Warm-up zone. This indicates a low-intensity activity, making this trek ideal for active recovery or a long, steady-state endurance walk.
• May Challenge: Live! Starting the new 200,000-step goal today.
• Current Streak: 6 consecutive months (24 weeks) of hitting the target.
General Interpretation
• Session Type: Light aerobic walk.
• Physiological Objective: Cardiovascular activation and baseline maintenance.
• Effort Level: Low (predominantly Zone 1).
Summary: This was a very steady, light aerobic session. It’s the perfect way to maintain cardiovascular health and keep the streak alive without putting excessive stress on the body.
