From the window of the bus, a sign on a store's window caught the attention. There was something different. Something was wrong. And indeed, the letter J was wrong. They had placed the word SALE letter by letter, but the J was placed upside down, as if to read it correctly one would need a mirror. In the photographs, taken with the difficulties of a moving bus, it can be seen.
At first, one might think it was placed this way on purpose; there is no doubt that it catches the attention, and anyone observing the shops won't miss it. The first time you might pass it by while still thinking something is out of place, but not a second time, when the mistake stands out on its own. But was it placed this way on purpose to draw attention by showing something different? At first, I would believe not, and that it was merely a mistake, because the other two display windows—the front and the adjacent side (as seen in the last photo)—have the same "sale" sign, but with the J correctly placed following a criterion of uniformity. At the same time, however, one might also believe that the upside-down J was intended to attract the gaze of the public circulating mostly along the avenue that the sign directly faces. Whatever the case may be, there was the word with the J placed upside down.
